Constant
Technologies was contracted to build Progress
Energy's Power Grid Center.
In order to meet Florida Power’s unique
needs, Constant designed a special floor
plan. The resulting design, “4 rooms
within a room,” provided Progress
Energy the 4 quadrants
necessary to run the operation efficiently
and effectively.
The custom console configuration allowed
for each operator to monitor up to ten LCD
monitors as well as the centralized large
screen display. In addition to proper monitoring
sightlines, the consoles were designed with
the strictest ergonomic standards for peripherals
such as phone systems, keyboards, mice,
etc. |
