Computer Workstation Desk
Constant designed, manufactured, and installed Roger Williams University's "FirstFed Financial Services Center." This room was designed to not only function as a working classroom with special workstation desk solutions, but also to simulate the environment of an actual trading room on the New York Stock Exchange.
The technology driven classroom features 23 Contender Series Consoles and a two person Bloomberg Terminal. Each student position has dual 15" LCD monitors with built in CPU/Technology base cabinets. Constant also designed two custom "Smart Podiums" featuring dual monitors and sliding shelves for peripherals such as document cameras. The podiums also provide connectivity for touch panels and laptops used in presentations or lectures.
At the front of the room are two 100" diagonal front large screen displays/projection screens. The projectors can be neatly hidden way via a motorized "Bombay" ceiling mount system. In addition, Constant's audio/visual engineers, custom programmed an AMX touch panel system for the convenience of both students and professors. The systems allow seamless control of the front projection, audio, TV, and other sources from each podium location.
